LONDON, Oct 14 (Reuters) - Turkey's government dollar bonds fell on Monday in the wake of warnings from U.S. President Donald Trump that he was working on "powerful" sanctions against Turkey over its offensive into northeastern Syria.

The 2038 issue sank 0.99 cents to 98.60 cents in the dollar, while the 2045 issue lost 0.92 cents to 90.77 cents in the dollar, according to Tradeweb.

On Sunday, Trump said he was listening to Congress, where Republicans and Democrats are pushing aggressively for sanctions action.
