Gazprom’s export to Turkey down 35% to 15.5 bln cubic meters of gas in 2019

MOSCOW, February 14. /TASS/. Gazprom lowered gas supplies to Turkey by 35% to 15.5 bln cubic meters in 2019 against 23.96 bln cubic meters a year earlier, the Russian gas holding said in its report on Friday.

Total exports of Gazprom to Western European countries dropped by 9% to 147.44 bln cubic meters, the company said. The Western European market, including Turkey, remains the largest selling market for the gas holding.

Key consumers of the Russian gas in the region are Germany (supplies declined by 8.5% to 53.5 bln cubic meters), Italy (minus 2.9% to 22.1 bln cubic meters), and France (up 8.3% to 14.1 bln cubic meters). Gas supplies to the United Kingdom fell by 28% to 10.32 bln cubic meters.

Gas deliveries to Southeastern Ukraine grew by 0.5% to 2.75 bln cubic meters last year.
