National Sample Survey Organisation’s data on jobs wrong, says Ravi Shankar Prasad

  • Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Saturday rejected National Sample Survey Organisation’s (NSSO) data on jobs.
  • Ravi Shankar Prasad went a step further to state that the data was wrong.
  • This has led to a rash of downward revisions in expectations, including from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) which now expects GDP growth to come down to 6.1 per cent in financial year 2020 (FY20).
