Share of foreign capital in Russian banks down to 11.79% in 2019, says Central Bank

MOSCOW, February 14. /TASS/. The share of foreign capital in the total authorized capital of Russian credit organizations decreased by 0.62 percentage points in 2019 to 11.79% (340 bln rubles, or $5.3 bln) as of January 1, 2020, the Central Bank said in a press release on Friday.

The total authorized capital of Russian banks amounted to almost 2.9 trillion rubles ($45.6 bln) at the end of 2019.

The Bank of Russia calculates and publishes the indicator annually. The regulator published the first such result as of 2015 year-end.
