MOSCOW, September 8. /TASS/. The Bank of Russia will proactively promote the opportunity of making cross-border payments using the digital ruble, Governor Elvira Nabiullina said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 TV Channel.

"We will proactively advance the opportunity of cross-border payments, using the digital ruble," she said.

Plenty of Russian banks want to participate and proactively take part in the digital ruble introduction experiment, Nabiullina noted. The experiment will last until the next year, she said. "We will start an individual kind of transactions in a limited scope as early as in the next year in order to gradually begin introducing it into the turnover," the official added.
