Russia’s international reserves up by $0.3 bln to $557.7 bln over week – Central Bank

MOSCOW, September 22. /TASS/. Russia's international reserves increased by $0.3 bln or by 0.05% over the week and amounted to $557.7 bln as of September 16, 2022, the Central Bank said on Thursday.

"The amount of international reserves as of September 16 totaled $557.7 bln, having grown over the week by $0.3 bln or by 0.05% under the effect of negative revaluation," the regulator said.

Reserves equaled $557.4 bln as of September 9 of this year.

Russia's international reserves are highly liquid foreign assets available with the Bank of Russia and the Russian Government. They comprise foreign currency, Special Drawing Rights (SDRs), a reserve position in the International Monetary Fund and monetary gold. The target level for international reserves set by the Central Bank of Russia is $500 bln.
