- A disastrous 69% decline in wildlife populations has been registered between 1970 and 2018, according to this year’s edition of the WWF’s Living Planet Report, published on Thursday (13 October).
- The findings are based on the ‘Living Planet Index’.
- Currently, the main driver of biodiversity loss is still land-use change, the process by which human activities transform the natural landscape.
