MOSCOW, October 17. /TASS/. The volume of construction work in Russia grew by 0.8% annually in comparable prices and totaled 932.3 bln rubles ($14.6 bln) in September 2019 in money terms, the Russian Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said on Thursday.
Construction work in January - September of this year rose by 5.9% in comparable prices and totaled 5.67 trillion rubles ($88.9 bln).
Housing construction surged 2.8% year-on-year to 6.5 mln square meters in September 2019. 48.6 mln square meters of living spaces were built in nine months of this year, up 6.9% on an annualized basis.
81,800 new apartments were constructed in September in total and 636,000 apartments were built during January - September of 2019, the statistics service said.
The volume of construction work in Russia in 2018 rose 5.3% annually in comparable prices and totaled 8.4 trillion rubles ($131.2 bln), Rosstat said earlier.
