Russian stocks down as main session begins on Wednesday

MOSCOW, May 11. /TASS/. The Russian stock market went down at the beginning of the main session on Wednesday as the MOEX Index was down by 0.35% at 2,384.73 points, while the dollar-denominated RTS Index lost 1.64% to 1,070.14 points, according to trading data as of 10:15 am Moscow time.

As trading opened the MOEX was down by 0.05% at 2,391.91 points, while the RTS was down by 0.21% at 1,085.7 points.

According to trading data as of 10:15 am Moscow time, the dollar exchange rate was up by 0.99% at 70.09 rubles, while the euro exchange rate was up by 0.48% at 73.95 rubles. As Wednesday trading opened on Moscow Exchange the dollar exchange rate edged up by 0.07% to 69.45 rubles, while the euro exchange rate added 0.54% to 74 rubles.
