Dollar down below 63 rubles, euro – below 65 rubles on Moscow Exchange

MOSCOW, May 13. /TASS/. The dollar exchange rate slipped below 63 rubles as foreign currency trading started on Moscow Exchange on Friday for the first time since February 2020, while the euro exchange rate fell below 65 rubles for the first time since June 2017, according to trading data.

As of 10:25 am Moscow time, the dollar exchange rate was up by 0.16% at 63.43 rubles, while the euro exchange rate was up by 0.8% at 65.79 rubles.

As Thursday trading opened on Moscow Exchange at 10:00 am the dollar exchange rate was down by 1.07% at 62.62 rubles, while the euro exchange rate was up by 1.57% at 66.28 rubles, after which it dropped sharply to 64.94 rubles (-0.49%).

The MOEX Index was up by 0.01% at 2,298.85 points, while the dollar-denominated RTS Index was up by 0.97% at 1,150.79 points, according to trading data as of 10:39 am Moscow time. As trading opened the MOEX was up by 0.53% at 2,309.98 points, while the dollar-denominated RTS was up by 0.84% at 1,114.59 points.
