MOSCOW, August 16. /TASS/. The ruble was mixed against the dollar and the euro compared with previous closing as foreign currency trading started on Moscow Exchange on Tuesday.

As of 10:15 am Moscow time, the dollar exchange rate extended gains to 0.46% trading at 61.5 rubles, while the euro exchange rate was down by 0.12% at 62.27 rubles.

As trading opened on Moscow Exchange the dollar exchange rate added 0.43% to 61.48 rubles, while the euro exchange rate edged up by 0.24% to 62.49 rubles.

As of 10:15 am the MOEX Index was up by 0.41% at 2,174.08 points, while the dollar-denominated RTS Index was up by 0.1% at 1,114.05 points. As trading opened at 10:00 am, the MOEX rose by 0.34% to 2,172.4 points, while the RTS added 0.43% to 1,117.77 points.
