  • EE has taken issue with an advertising campaign that promotes rival Three’s 5G network as the only “real” next-generation service.
  • Three, owned by Hong Kong conglomorate CK Hutchison, launched its 5G network on Monday with an advert claiming: “If it’s not Three, it’s not real 5G”.
  • BT-owned EE claims that the advert is “misleading” and has asked the Advertising Standards Authority to investigate whether it is in breach of the advertising code.
