LG Uplus to develop 5G content on cultural heritage

  • By Baek Byung-yeul LG Uplus is increasing the number of “enjoyable” immersive content to attract more consumers to its fifth-generation (5G) network service.
  • For the project, the company recently signed an agreement with Buyeo County and Gongju City, where the palaces of the Baekje Kingdom were located, and the Chungnam Information Culture Technology Industry Agency to develop augmented reality (AR) technology-based cultural heritage content.
  • To let more young people know about Korea’s heritage, LG Uplus also plans to produce entertainment programs where idol groups introduce cultural relics and sites in Gongju and Buyeo.
