MOSCOW, August 15. /TASS/. Russia has the sufficient inventory of components to support the defense technology sector during the period of adaptation to sanctions, Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said on Monday on the air with the Rossiya-24 TV Channel.

"As regards our companies and completion of tasks for the Russian Defense Ministry, then, certainly, there is a certain strain for specific complete sets and components. However, firstly, there is a sufficient stock already for the interim period for adaptation and we also do not stand still but are working proactively to support timely manufacturing of components required for finished goods," Manturov said.

Russia spend 160 bln rubles ($2.6 bln) since 2014 to get rid of the dependence on imported components in the national defense industry, ex-deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov said this May.
