- Refugee centres in Bulgaria have exceeded their maximum capacity by more than 20%, reaching levels not seen in the past two to three years, the BGNES news agency reported.
- In Bulgaria, refugees and migrants — mainly from Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia, but also from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Syria — have to stay in the corridors, TV rooms and utility rooms of refugee centres.
- The conditions are also impacting the staff at these centres.
