WNM - Accordig to state owned financial news website Yicai Global, Chinese kitchen appliance firm Vatti launched a promotional campaign, promising exclusive rewards should Spain win the World Cup. Customers who purchased specific products before July 19 were entered into a drawing for which Vatti plans to select 22 winners by August 3. Prizes include celadon pottery by Ye Xiaochun for two winners and a 25-gram gold ball for the remaining 20. Unlike in 2018, where Vatti committed to partial refunds if France won, resulting in a substantial payout of CNY80 million, the company's 2026 strategy has been more measured. As of July 12, Vatti’s market share in offline range hoods and gas stoves increased to 7.9 percent and 10.3 percent, respectively, up from the previous year's figures.
Meanwhile, Luckin Coffee, also a 2026 World Cup sponsor for Spain, is distributing 100,000 free order vouchers and 25 percent off coupons post the team’s victory. Similarly, TCL Technology, an industrial giant, organized themed advertising campaigns across several countries, boosting its television market share in Spain to 11.2 percent in June.
Industrial giant TCL Technology has been a partner of Spain since 2023. During the World Cup this year, the company held outdoor advertising and terminal marketing events themed around the Spanish team in multiple countries, such as Spain, Germany, the United States, Canada, and China, Yicai Global is reporting. TCL’s share in the Spanish television market rose to 10.6 percent in May from 8.5 percent a year earlier and climbed to 11.2 percent in June from 9.3 percent a year ago, according to data from global market research firm GfK. Sigmaintell predicted that TCL’s overseas TV shipments surged nearly 16 percent to 11.8 million units in the first half from the same period last year.
